1win Roulette: Bets, Layout and the Spin

Roulette is the lobby's most readable table game. A ball lands in one pocket of a numbered wheel, and every bet is simply a claim about where. This page covers the layout, the bet types and what changes between a live wheel and an automatic one.

THE BASICS

Thirty-seven pockets and one ball

A European-style wheel has numbers zero to thirty-six, with a single green zero. American wheels add a double zero, which raises the house edge. Casino.guru lists table games and live casino among the 1win game types, and the roulette family usually appears in both forms: an automatic wheel driven by software, and a live wheel with a dealer on camera. The rules are the same. The difference is pace and presentation, and in the live version the betting clock is the only pressure you feel.

BET TYPES

What you can place chips on

Bets fall into two groups, and the group decides both the payout and how often you win.

  • Straight-up

A single number. It wins rarely and pays the most, which makes it high variance and quick to deplete a small balance.

  • Splits, streets and corners

Chips placed on the lines between numbers cover two, three or four pockets. Cover grows, payout shrinks in step.

  • Dozens and columns

Twelve numbers at once. Wins about a third of the time at a medium payout.

  • Red or black, odd or even, high or low

The even-money outside bets cover nearly half the wheel. They resolve often but the zero keeps them from being fair.

Why every bet carries the same edge
THE ZERO

Why every bet carries the same edge

The house edge in roulette comes from the zero pocket, not from the bet you choose. We do not quote the operator's own figures since we cannot verify them, but the principle is general.

  • European wheel

A single green zero among thirty-seven pockets means the house keeps roughly 2.7 units of every 100 staked, whatever bet is placed. Mixing bet types does not change that share.

  • American wheel

Adding a double zero lifts the house share to roughly 5.3 units per 100. If the lobby offers both wheels, the single-zero table is the better value.

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE

Getting help during a roulette session

A review of the casino reports that live chat runs around the clock in English and Hindi. These notes help when a question is about a particular spin.

  • Capture the result screen

The winning number and your placed chips are visible only briefly, so a quick screenshot saves a long explanation.

  • Mention the table type

Say whether the wheel was live or automatic. The two follow different procedures when something fails.

REALITY CHECK

What roulette cannot do for you

No betting pattern changes the wheel, and the points below are the ones most often misunderstood at a first table.

  • No pattern predicts the next spin

Streaks of red or black do not make the other colour more likely. The wheel has no memory.

  • Progressive staking raises risk

Doubling after a loss feels safe until a long losing run meets the table limit or your balance.

  • Legal position

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 has been in force since 1 May 2026. The government describes it as banning online money games, so confirm where you stand before staking.

WHEEL WORDS

Roulette terms you will meet

A few words cover nearly everything shown on a roulette table layout.

What is an inside bet?

An inside bet is placed on the numbers themselves, in the grid part of the layout. It covers few pockets and pays well when it hits.

What is an outside bet?

An outside bet covers larger groups such as colours, dozens or halves, placed around the grid. It wins often and pays less per win.

What does la partage or en prison mean?

Both are optional rules on some single-zero tables that return part of an even-money stake when the ball lands on zero, lowering the edge on those bets.

What is a call bet?

A call bet is a pre-set group of numbers on the wheel, such as a neighbour group, placed in a single action rather than chip by chip.

ROULETTE QUESTIONS

Answers for first-time roulette players

Short replies on the questions that come up before anyone places a first chip.

Is live roulette different from the automatic one?

The odds are identical for the same wheel type. Live adds a dealer and a longer round, while automatic is faster and often has a lower minimum stake.

How is 1win roulette different from other lobbies?

We cannot compare layouts on every site. A review describes live dealer roulette in the 1win lobby, and the rules are the standard ones set out above.

What is the safest bet?

No bet is safe. Even-money bets lose less often but are not free from the house edge, and a run of misses can still drain a balance.

Can I try a wheel without staking?

Some tables offer a practice mode and others do not. Check the individual table instead of assuming there is a 1win demo.

How many bets can I place per spin?

As many as the betting window and your balance allow. Each chip is its own bet and each carries the same long-run edge.
